it's that time of year again.... :) when we welcome our more festive themed workshops.

After a lovely weekend away in the Cotswold's , its back to work we go ............
And from the looks of it, its looks like we've been very busy whilst I've been away . my dear friend tania oakshott can be often found working away in landbaby while I'm off.
this morning she had left some work for me that she had been doing in the shop, she'd been making some Christmas pudding decorations that have been needle felted, I'll post pictures in the near future as we'll be running this as a workshop next month . while i was away she had received a beautiful delivery of mugs by the talented designer night owl, more of her work is one it's way in :)

i am so rubbish at this blogging , and twitter! i just about keep on top of my facebook page ! i feel the urge to change this though, i LOVE reading other peoples blogs, i spend hours ,clicking from one to another, mesmerised by the dreamy images of peoples lives and business's .

When i think about it mine could look like that !
I have a beautiful shop and home, i need to start sharing this !!!
A few months ago after all the hype over the royal wedding , myself and my boyfriend found our dream flat in Liverpool. i never thought i could find somewhere that had all quirky charms of a country house like the one I'd be brought up in, surly this was unheard of in city living ???

low and behold we found our dream home, just a short walk from where i was all ready living . With a flutter of the eyelashes and a squeeze of my boyfriends hand he agreed , hehe. 2 weeks later we had moved all our junk in and set up home :D well when i say junk, it was mainly all my junk :S thankfully my boyfriend understands its all part of being creative ( your a hoarder to ) .

here's a little glimpse of our humble abode , which is part of a mansion ! myself and David now go under the title lord and lady of the manner , hehe .....
As if having our dream house wasn't enough , i was also to be a movie star! well not quite, i was just an extra in a rather big film! the film was of course Captain America ! it was such an amazing experience, I'm so glad i did it , waking up at 4am every morning to be on set was not so great though, but seeing what went on behind the scenes of a massive block buster film was just out of this world!!! to see how much money and work went into just minutes of a film! it's certainly made me look at films in a different light, and hopefully the opportunity will come up again for me again to take part :) below is an image of myself in the film, i loved the hair and make they did, it reminded me of my grandmother who is also pictured below me .

So much for making a start on my blog last year !
One post and i gave up !

This year i had made a new years resolution, to really start working on my blog . This has been my first opportunity since the start of the year, which has been brought on by a dare left on my facebook page

Q. So where do i start????
A. with my favourite topic the Royal Wedding....

I'm hooked on this, i adore all the rubbish tacky memorabilia they have in all the shops, i remember buying a vile mugfrom a greasy spoon cafe, back in December last year, it was so tacky i had to have it! Now there is more and more of it out there my recent favourite being the rip off , of THE RING , aka the kiss of death.......

I got my copy in Primark ! a real bargin at just £2 .
good old primark never fails to amaze me ;)

so with all this excitement in the air, i decided it was time landbaby got involved.We have planned a very special workshop , and to make it event better we're having wedding cake as well

we're making a start! i set this blog up a long time ago and as you do, you get carried away with everything else your doing...but with so much going on at landbaby at the moment i felt i better make some time for it.
so what's new, what's happening ?
well as always we're attracting new designers and new items to the shop, and more recently we have set up a folksy shop, so wherever you are in the world you can purchase a little bit of landbaby love :)
